URSULA COLLIE If you love quirky, precise, cold, clinical music you will love this album! Memories come flooding back of a more experimental time in Sydney in the early 80s. And if you like a tall band, these 3 talented musicians are for you! I can’t recommend this album enough. ❤️ Favorite track: People In My Home.

about

These songs were recorded live at Higher Studios in Sydney with a Dr Rhythm drum machine probably in 1982. We had been rehearsing a lot in a terrace in Darlinghurst. We were allowed to practice there despite it being a lesbian separatist household. That was a thing in those days in Sydney.

None of us can remember the details of the recording. To say that this recording is warts and all is an understatement - seems that the guitars were recorded straight into the desk and were dry. We left the session with 2 cassettes that have been tweaked in Logic Pro X.

The songs aren't very long. To make them longer would have meant playing them twice, but this was considered too hard.

This meant a name change and a fruitless search for a drummer until we too exploded in 1984 ... or thereabouts (it's all very vague now you know). ... more
